Rio Lagartos

If you want to experience crimson vertigo, let yourself to go with us where the birds and summer never goes away.

Only one hectare is missing from the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve to reach 60,000 hectares. This incredibly diverse place delights everyone who would like to take a break from the everyday tourism. The color of the pink waters in Las Coloradas reflects the optimistic nature of this place. Amidst the mangrove shores that are home not only to over 300 species of birds, but also to other animals, you can find a friendly crocodile waiting for your company. The sight of the crimson flamingos, the symbol of the reserve, is colorful, and the gulls, herons, pelicans, cormorants and frigates flutter their wings over the vast rias, fighting for fresh fish.

This natural idyll has its culmination on a wild beach, where our guests, smeared with healing clay, can jump into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, and then eat seaside dishes in a local restaurant.

An afternoon visit to a crocodile sanctuary compensates for all your worries about the fate of your beloved pets.
